Obituary of William A. Darr

The Coshocton Tribune, March 6, 1952

William A. Darr, 63, Stricken Wednesday at Chestnut St. Home

William A. "Lonny" Darr, 63, died Wednesday at 2:35 p.m. in his home, 862 Chestnut st. He had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Monday.

He was born Sept. 23, 1888, in Jackson township, a son of French and Prudence Randles Darr. On Dec. 18, 1917, he was married to the former Mary Easter, who survives.

For the past 10 years he had been employed by the Fairmont Creamery Co.

He was a member of the Coshocton Nazarene churchand the Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Donald Theobold of San Diego, Calif.; three sons, Drexel of Warsaw Route 1, Jacob of Denver, Colo,, and Eugene of Coshocton; four brothers, Enoch Darr of Tunnel Hill, Joe Darr of Warsaw route, Frank Darr of Wyoming and John Darr of Millerburg, one sister, Mrs. Pearl McCluggage of Roscoe, and five grandchildren. Four brothers and one sister are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm. in the Coshocton Nazarene church. Rev. W. E. Zimmerman will conduct the services and burial will be in Valley View cemetery, Warsaw.

Friends may call at the residence from 7 p.m. today until noon Saturday and at the church from 1 until 2 o’clock.
