Obituary of Irene Stewart

Mrs. J. L. Stewart Succumbs Tuesday at Home In Warsaw
 
Mrs. Joseph L. Stewart, 68, died at her home in Warsaw at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday as a result of a cerebral hemorrhage which she suffered Dec. 21.
 
Irene Marshall was born Sept. 6, 1875, in Bedford township, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Gardner Marshall, and was married June 6, 1900, to Joseph L. Stewart, who survives. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist church, which she joined in childhood. Later she transferred her membership to the Warsaw Methodist church, where she was a member of the Anti-Can’t class and active in the WSCS and WCTU.
 
She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Virgil Bucklew, South Ninth St., one son, Lt. James J. Stewart, with the U.S. Navy in the southwest pacific; three grandchildren; two brothers, T. O. Marshall of Baldwin Park, Calif., and Grover C. Marshall of Coshocton Route 1; and a half-brother, J. A. Marshall of Adams Mills. A half brother and a half-sister are deceased.
 
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 pm. At the home, followed by additional rites at 2 p.m. at the Warsaw Methodist church with Rev. B. P. Angle officiating. Burial will be in Valley View cemetery, Warsaw.
