Common Pleas, April Term 1834.


At a Court of Common Pleas held at the Court House and in Coshocton within and for the County of Coshocton and State of Ohio, before the Honorable Alexander Harper, ------- Judge of said Court and James Robinson and John Crawford, associate Judges of said Court for said County at the Term of April in the year of one thousand eight hundred and thirty four, the following testamentary business was heard.


Sarah McFarland Executrix of the last will Will probate, Letters and testament of Testamentary, etc. Robert McFarland

Be it remembered that -----, to wit, on the twenty first day of April in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty four, the last will and testament of Robert McFarland, deceased, was presented to the Court here and read in the words following, to wit-
In the name of God, Amen. I, being weak in body but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, thanks be to the almighty God for the same, and knowing that it is appointed ------ for all men to die, I, Robert McFarland, in the township of Oxford and County of Coshocton and State of Ohio do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say, First, it is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid. Second, I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved with Sarah McFarland, in lieu of her dower, the plantation whereon we now reside, situated and lying in the Township, County and State aforesaid, containing about one hundred acres, to have and to hold forever for her own use and benefit, and all my horses, cattle, hogs, sheep and household and kitchen furniture and all other not particularly named herein to have and to hold all and singular, everything to me now belonging for her own use and behalf forever.
And lastly I do hereby ------ and appoint my said wife Sarah McFarland to be the executrix of this my last will and testament, revoking [?] all others before made and ratifying and confirming this and no others to be my last will and Testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 15th day of November in the year of our Lord 1833.
