The Last Will and Testament of Malachi Jones
I, Malachi Jones of Oxford Township, Coshocton County, Ohio, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
Item 1st.
I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and that a suitable and becoming monument be placed over my grave.
Item 2nd.
I give and devise to my beloved wife, Mahala Jones the interest and estate in and to all my real and personal property that she will be entitled to under the Laws of the State of Ohio.
Item 3rd.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Daugherty, wife of Robert M. Daugherty the sum of One thousand dollars to be paid within one year after my death and to my daughter Martha J. Smith, wife of Jackson Smith, the sum of one thousand dollars to be paid within one year after my death, said sums to be in full shares of my estate, I having heretofore given them each about the sum of one thousand dollars by way of advancements.
Item 4th.
I give and devise all the remainder and residue of my real and personal estate to my son Hugh Jones absolutely and in fee simple.
Item 5th.
I hereby nominate and appoint my wife Mahala Jones, executrix of this my last will and testament. I hereby revoke all former wills by me made. Witness my hand and seal this 19th day of May A.D. 1886.
