The Last Will and Testament of Andrew Shroyer
In the name of the Benevolent Father of All: I, Andrew Shroyer of Franklin Township, Coshocton County, Ohio, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
Item 1st.
I give and devise to my beloved wife Elisabeth Shroyer in lieu of her dower the farm on which we now reside, situate in Franklin Township, Coshocton County, O., containing about one hundred and fifty acres, during her natural life. At the death of my said wife, the real estate aforesaid, I give and devise to my two sons John R. Shroyer and Henry O. Shroyer and their heirs. I also devise and bequeath to my said sons John R. Shroyer and Henry O. Shroyer the real estate purchased of Mrs. Jane McCleary, situate in Tuscarawas Township, county and state aforesaid, containing about twenty acres.
Item 2nd.
The conditions of the about gifts and devise to my said sons John R. Shroyer and Henry O. Shroyer are the following, to wit: they are to pay jointly to each of my three daughters, to wit: Mary J. Browning, Julia S. Jennings and Sarah A. Vance the sum of five hundred ($500) dollars in installments as follows to wit: to each of said three daughters, one hundred and fifty ($150) dollars within two years after my decease, one hundred and fifty ($150) dollars within three years after my decease, and two hundred ($200) dollars within four years after my decease, said sums of money to be paid as above stated without interest.
Item 3rd.
I give and devise to my said two sons John R. Shroyer and Henry O. Shroyer all my personal property, moneys and effects, they however, selling so much there of as may be necessary to pay my just debts.
Item 4th.
I give and devise nothing to my children Christian A. Shroyer and Malissa C. McCammint, as I have already given them what I deem to be their full share of my estate.
Item 5th.
I do hereby nominate and appoint my two sons John R. Shroyer and Henry O. Shroyer executors of this my last will and testament, and desire that no appraisement and no sale of my personal property be made, and that the court of Probate direct the omission of the same in pursuance of the statute.
In testimony hereof, I hereunto set my hand and seal this 20th day of September in the year A. D. 1880.
