Obituary of Mary Shoman

 

The Coshocton County Democrat, March 18, 1946
 In Ill Health, Young Woman Ends Life
 Mrs. Mary Shoman, 30, Warsaw Route 1, died at city hospital Sunday at 5 p.m. from the effects of a self-inflicted bullet wound in her chest.
 According to members of her family, Mrs. Shoman had been in ill health for some time.  She was found at 9 a.m. Sunday by her father-in-law, Frank Shoman, and John Metz, and was taken to city hospital.
 She was born in Coshocton, Dec. 21, 1915, a daughter of Harvey and Zelma Kimberley Snedeker.  On Oct. 28, 1935, she was married to Alfred Shoman, who survives.  She was graduated from Coshocton high school in 1934 and was the valedictorian of her class.  She was a member of the Baptist church and the Eastern Star Lodge.
 Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Snedeker; one son, Alfred Jr., aged nine; two sisters, Mrs. Roger Robinson, and Miss Leola Snedeker of Columbus.
 Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 at the Baptist church with Rev. John Shanley officiating.  Burial will be in South Lawn cemetery, and the Eastern Star Lodge will hold graveside services.
 Friends will be received at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shoman, 301 Walnut st., after 7 p.m. today and until 1 p.m. Wednesday.  After that time, friends may call at the church from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
