Many Elderly residents living in the city and county today remember the old Saba Department Store, located at Third and Main streets back 56 years ago. This photo shows how the interior of the store looked back in 1924. This scene was the store's shoe department. Pictured in the shoe department at the time were Fred Saba, Mrs. Lewis (Theresa) Longstreth, sales lady; Mrs. Floyd (Pearl) Johnson, a customer; Jesse Baker, window trimmer and salesman; Martin Saba, one of the owners, Mrs. Harold (Blanche) Kinkade, saleslady; Clara McKee, a customer, and Mrs. Vincent Norris' aunt.
