Abraham Randles was born December 25, 1792 in Loudon County, Virginia. He was the son of Martha & Jonas (James) Randles. Will for Martha Randles is probated April 1838 in Coshocton County. Abraham married Elizabeth (Chaney) in
1813. Abraham & Elizabeth Randles moved to N.E. quarter of Sec. 5 Township No. 5 (now Roscoe) Coshocton County on December 9, 1816 from Harrison County, Ohio. Official Land Record. The 1881 History states that the nearest neighbors were 8 miles away. This property was on the old Mount Vernon Road which is Jackson County Road 55. In one of the recent books about Roscoe, on page 17, he is named as the pioneer.
