The last Will and Testament of Andrew G. Wood deceased

In the matter of the Will of Andrew G Wood, deceased

February 22nd A. D. 1879

In the name of the Benevolent Father of all, I Andrew G. Wood of the Township of Tuscarawas, County of Coshocton, State of Ohio, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.

Item 1st    
It is my Will that my just debts and all charges be paid out of my estate.

Item 2nd
I devise and bequeath to my son William Wood the sum of five dollars, as his share, as I have already given him more than I can give the rest.

Item 3rd
I devise and bequeath to my daughter, Sally Ann Wolf the tract of land now occupied by her, lying east of the Keene road and north of the canal and bound on the east [by the] land now owned and occupied by David Markly containing 16 acres and also one thousand dollars to be paid at the discretion of the Executor.

Item 4th
I devise and bequeath to my daughter Polina [sic] Lawrence one thousand dollars to be paid at the discretion or at the final settlement of the Executor.

Item 5th
I devise and bequeath to my daughter Caroline the sum of one thousand dollars to be paid as soon as can be without distress of property, first money to be paid, also all the household goods and furniture.

Item 6th
I devise and bequeath all the residue of my property equal between my children hereafter named, Joseph N. Wood, Francis C. [?] Balch, Polina Lawrence, Caroline Wood, Bethsame Masterson's dec'd heirs [sic] to have her share, Ellen Shaw, Polina Masterson, Joseph Masterson, Margaret Masterson, Caroline Masterson, William Masterson.

Item 7th
I do hereby nominate and appoint J.M. Thompkins Executor of this my last Will and Testament, herby authorizing and empowering him to compromise, adjust, release and discharge in such manner as he deem proper the debts and sums [?] due me. I do also authorize, and empower him if it shall become necessary in order to pay my debts to sell by private sale or in such manner, upon such terms of credit or otherwise as he think proper, all or any part of my real estate and deeds to purchasers to execute, acknowledge and deliver in fee simple.

I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made.

In testimony [w]hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 18th day of January in the year of Lord [sic] one thousand eight hundred seventy nine.
