80. Terri Shalene WALKER

A miscellaneous shower was given for Terri Walker May 15th by her maid of honor, Miss Jacqueline Klenk, at her home in Atlantic Beach.  Decorations were all white.  Coffee and cake were served.

The bride-to-be wore a white knit dress.

In attendance were Marilyn Hapsis, Mrs. D. L. Gable, Mrs. Tillman Stone, Mrs. A. Dalo,  Jr., Mrs. H. Euringer, Jean Cummings, Mrs. R. P. Champion, Mr. J. D. Walker and Mrs. Eli Becker.

At her Jacksonville Beach home on May 25th Mrs. Larry Malonee was hostess for a miscellaneous bridal shower for Terri Walker.  Assisting was Mrs. Darrell Carpenter.  Decorations were green, white and yellow. Coffee, pie and an unusual finger cookie were served.

In attendance were: Mrs. Jay Hammock, Mrs. George Zoelle, Mrs. Tom Myers, Mrs. H. O. Watkings, Mrs. B. P. Thomason, Mrs. Sheldon Goldsmith, Mrs. George Mills, Mrs. Roger Widener, Mrs. J. D. Walker and Mrs. P. F. Gilliam.

Terri Shalene Walker and Barry Eugene Champion exchanged vows Friday, May 29, 1970 at 8 p.m. in a home ceremony performed by the bride's father, Joseph Donald Walker, minister of Central Christian Church of the Beaches.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Walker of Stlantic Beach.

The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Champion of Douglas, Georgia.

The cnadlelight ceremony was performed in the living room of the bride's home against a background of candlabra and fuji mums and gladioli in Delft jardiniers set on white pedestals framed by Fortuney draperies.  Other decorations in the room were carnations and mums set in Delft on the white mantle and flanked by tapers in Delft candlesticks and reflected by a Chippendale mirror.  The bride entered on the arm of her brother, Scot

cummerbund encircled her waist.  She wore a sleeveless coat of chantilly lace open front and back with scollops both front and back falling free from pleats at the shoulders.  Her veil was of the same lace worn mantilla style and held by a white orchid and cascades of talisman roses.  She wore white silk high helled slippers and carried white orchids surrounded by talisman sweetheart roses.

The maid of honor, Jacqueline Klenk, wore creme crepe fashioned with fitted bodice, stand-up collar, bishop sleeves and full mini-skirt with creme and brown shoes.  Her bouquet was of yellow roses and orange carnations shaped in a half moon.

Flower girl, Pollee Walker, sister of the bride, wore white and orange print A-line dress belted in orange velvet with leg-o-mutton sleeves.  She carried a nose-gay of talisman sweetheart roses and baby's breath with yellow ribbon streamers. Her shoes were black patent.

The bride's mother was dressed in beige re-embroidered lace with full skirt and fitted bodice with wide collar and slim long sleeves, trimmed in pink beige silk and she wore a corsage of talisman roses.
